Op-Ed & Feature Submission Guidelines
Tadbeer Institute is an Islamabad-based platform for civilisational and intellectual education, working across geopolitics, strategy, history, governance, philosophy, and Islamic thought.
We exist to grow researchers and leaders capable of arguing seriously about the modern world and the tradition behind it, using research, narrative, and open dialogue as our tools. Our op-eds and features are held to that same bar.
We welcome submissions from scholars, analysts, policymakers, journalists, and informed practitioners, Pakistani and international, writing on South Asia, the Muslim world, and global affairs.
What We Publish
- Makes one specific, arguable claim, not a topic survey
- Draws on real data, documented events, or credible scholarship
- Engages the strongest counterarguments honestly
- Reads the present through the past where relevant: pieces connecting classical Islamic statecraft, governance, or civilisational theory to contemporary geopolitics are especially at home here, alongside pieces argued in a purely contemporary register
- Digs deep into the chosen topic or theme, not a surface pass
- Where the subject allows, reads like a story: lessons woven through the narration rather than stacked at the end
Where Your Piece Fits
Tell us which Knowledge Arena your piece speaks to, or ask us to place it:
Arena | Focus |
The Grey Zone | Covert and below-the-surface dynamics: intelligence, hybrid conflict |
Stratagem | Long-range strategic thinking: how states and civilisations compete over decades |
The Forgotten Script | Overlooked or suppressed history |
Seerah and Statecraft | Governance and administration modelled on the Prophetic example |
The Reason Wars | Philosophy, political theology, and the clash of worldviews |
Nafs and Nuance | The same rigour turned inward: psychology and self-reflection |
Khirad | Applied wisdom and self-governance |
